Practice On My Wall

I am planning to go and work on a section on the walls in Unruly Studio from the beginning of next week, so I thought I’d get some practice at home since I have never tried to do an illustration at such a large scale before.
I managed to cover one of my bedroom walls, which is 4.5 meters wide and 2.6 meters tall, and it took around 6-7 hours to do.
The wall I am covering with this pattern in Unruly Studio is around 8 meters wide, but it has 5 mirrors in between (see images on previous posts) so hopefully it wont take too long, I have given myself a week to produce it at the studio.

That looks amazing!!! How did you manage to transfer the design that large onto the wall? Was it just by eye?! xx jo

I got so used to drawing it on A3 sized paper, it just came naturaly out of me. I used a massive ruler obviously to keep all the lines straight, but yeah it was just by eye.

Asya, it looks excellent!! Do you know there's stickers to decorate walls in places like heals or paperachse?? I think is fashion! You are doing something much better though! Well done you!

me too asya! the pictures taken are spot on, having the blogs is really helping to get across the spirit of things, and with your project its very envident. From day1 with your sketches, to your having to practice on your own wall for dimension purposes. It's amazing!!
