Feedback from Unruly Studio: You and Your Work
"Working with Asya on this project has been as exciting and achieved the sort of result we would hope to expect from the best of any creative project we get involved with. Asya offered us the perfect combination of raw original style and careful organisation that was crucial to portray Unruly’s attitude and identity.
We are proud to have made an acquaintance with such an artist that’s style represents what we are about. We have firm plans to continue working with Asya."
Good luck

Illustration Installation

The guys from Coloursonic came to the studio today to install the artwork, they did a really good job because the wall is curved so it was quiet a tricky procedure. It was really exciting seeing everything come together finally, it was also quiet shocking and overwhelming looking at something I created at such a large scale. Overall, I am very pleased with the outcome.

Another Unruly Night

Had another working night shift at Unruly Studio last night to finish off the hand rendered illustration, I had two special helpers with me so it was not too bad.
Now I just have to wait for the printers to finish their job and install the main piece, they have confirmed that they are coming to the studio to this on Wednesday morning.

Last Night At The Studio

Project Update…
Last night I started applying my illustrations on the wall at Unruly Studio, I am hoping to have finished it by Thursday night. I am making a video of all the action so that will be up on the blog soon.
I have also been to Coloursonic Printers yesterday and given them an eps file of the chosen illustration for the other section of the wall, so I am hoping that will be printed and applied on to the studio wall by the end of this week too.

Practice On My Wall

I am planning to go and work on a section on the walls in Unruly Studio from the beginning of next week, so I thought I’d get some practice at home since I have never tried to do an illustration at such a large scale before.
I managed to cover one of my bedroom walls, which is 4.5 meters wide and 2.6 meters tall, and it took around 6-7 hours to do.
The wall I am covering with this pattern in Unruly Studio is around 8 meters wide, but it has 5 mirrors in between (see images on previous posts) so hopefully it wont take too long, I have given myself a week to produce it at the studio.

New Mock-Up's

This is a rough mock-up to demonstrate how my illustration will fit inside the studio wall. The image gives a clearer idea of the scale of the final outcome.
I am scheduled to send the image to Coloursonic Printers this week and receive a quote from them on how much it will cost to print and install the piece.
Therefore, myself and the Unruly Studio teem need to decide which illustration is the one for them, very soon.
After the print has gone up I can add some final touches that are going on the other section of the wall by hand.

Another One

I think this is my favorite illustration so far, I stepped out of my safety box and tried to add a new technique to the illustration by adding some non-hand rendered images with my usual style. And below I posted some details because it’s a bit hard to concentrate on the whole image at once as there is too much detail to look at.
